Henry Foster

Persona

Born and raised in the forests of Sussex, Baron Henry Foster (he/him) spent his youth accompanying his father Edmund, a forester, throughout the Weald. Edmund, a veteran of the Battle of Bosworth, remained a loyal man to Thomas Howard (later Earl of Surrey) after the defeat at Bosworth, and used his favour to advance his standing. After coming of age, Henry traveled to Ealdormere and was appointed as forester to the lands held by Her Grace Dutchess Tangwystl d'Courci. There, Henry met Brigit Larkin who was a Lady-in-waiting for Her Grace Tangwystl. In time, Henry and Brigit married and welcomed the birth of their daughter Mary. Not long after, Her Grace Tangwystl moved her estate far to the West, leaving Henry to establish his own small holdings in the rural heartland of the Barony of Ramshaven.

Whereabouts

Henry and his family currently reside just outside of the Canton of Der Welfengau in the Barony of Ramshaven.

SCA History

In the dark time before Henry, in the Barony of Ben Dunfirth, there was Sigmar (known as Scary-pants). He is best left forgotten - like the pants.

Henry has been participating sporadically in the SCA as far back as…..1999 or so. His first event was a Murder Melee in the Meadow (He thinks?). Since moving to the Barony of Ramshaven, he has held several offices and has been active in the Arts and Sciences community. His main interest is period leatherworking - purses, boxes, and containers are of particular interest. He has also become quite obsessed with wood turning, focusing on bowls and other treen.

Henry has always regretted not being a part of the martial traditions of the Kingdom, and so he has begun a foray into Fencing.

Affiliations

Henry is married to Baroness Brigit Larkin, and they have a daughter named Mary.

He is an apprentice to Maitress Lucrece de Montsoreau and protege to Master Brand Thorwaldsen.
