Hidetoro Shigamitsu

Persona

Hidetoro Shigamitsu Hachi-i is alternatively a sellsword or an artisan, depending on the situation. Born in the Kamakura Period in 1284, he was raised in the Province of Omi until the age of twelve, when he was collected in a gambling debt incured by his father. After spending the next several years abroad with the merchants he was sold to, Hidetoro found himself resold to a small well armed group of travelling Ronin.

Hidetoro began learning the art of Kenjutsu, and the use of Naginata along the way. Sometime later, while now being allowed to escort the caravans and other merchants needing escort, Hidetoro sat down to roll a few dice one autumn evening.

It was said he won his freedom upon winning a “winner takes all” roll at Cho-Han…

SCA History

Hidetoro was born and raised in the Kingdom of Northshield before moving to Ealdormere. He trained alongside The Blackswords in the Shire of Trinovantia Nova, before finally ending up in Ben Dunfirth. Hidetoro is squired to Sir Evander MacLachlan, and is a member of House Maclachlan
