Eògan svartauga

Persona

Lord Eógan svartauga (pronounced O-wen or YO-wen; he/him) is a member of the Norwegian and Hiberno-Norse high nobility during the Viking age (circa 890 CE). He is now moving his Norse kit to 11thc Norway. His byname svartauga literally means “black-eyes”, which is a kenning for opossum.

He also makes costuming bits that catch his eye. Current projects on the go is a full 16thc German Courtier's outfit.

Alternate Persona

Hattori no Sabarou Akihira Hachi-i (服部三郎明衡殿, he/him) is an early 16th-century Japanese / Sengoku era Oiran and Samurai. The character Aki in Akihira comes from Ichijou Gorou Kinaki, as an honour in bringing Hattori into House Ōkami.

Whereabouts

Eógan currently resides in the Canton of Eoforwic, in the Barony of Septentria. He is also a citizen in the Barony of Ben Dunfirth

  • Mon: Argent, issuant to base from a cloud sable three lightning bolts palewise in fess vert all within an annulet sable. (for Hattori no Sabarou Akihira)

Eógan currently holds no offices.

SCA History

Eógan joined the SCA in March 2021, during the Plague Times. Since joining, he has become a member of House Ōkami, House Fir Bolg, as well as the unofficial Courtesan Guild of Ealdormere, Royal Guild of Ealdormerian Feast Cooks, and Clan Blue Feather.

Eógan is squired to Sir Gannicus the Hibernian, and apprenticed to Mistress Maegwynn skrautibrok.

He also makes most of his own garb, and also has a YouTube channel, for creating this sort of content.
