Eoforwic

The Canton of Eoforwic (Downtown Toronto) is located in the Barony of Septentria. It is sometime referred to as the Royal Citie of Eoforwic.

In addition to the usual Canton officers, the Royal Citie has elections for a Lord or Lady Mayor, as well as a Sheriff. In a nod to the elections of the Lord Mayor of London, Ealdormerian Guilds can vote in the election, though what precisely constitutes a Guild is a rather loose definition.

The current Lady Mayoress of the Royal Citie of Eoforwic is Baroness Lucia de Moranza.

Origin of the Name

“Eoforwic” is the Old Norse name for York; York, of course, being the old name for the city of Toronto.
