Noble Rhys of Anglesey (/riːs/Reece; They/Them) is an Iron Age Celt of the 1st Century and a Druid, one of the last, before the final invasion of Ynys Mon (Anglesey) by the Romans.

Rhys currently resides in the Barony of Rising Waters, more specifically in St Catharines, Ontario.

Heraldry

  • Device: Per pale raguly argent and vert, an oak tree eradicated and a satyr passant counterchanged.
  • Badge: (Fieldless) Three piles inverted couped conjoined in point sable within and conjoined to an annulet argent, the piles surmounted by a triskelion of spirals Or.
  • Mon: Argent, between two Japanese great waves in annulo conjoined at the base a Japanese plum blossom gules. (for Umesaya Soukurou)

Rhys Joined the SCA in August 2019 and has since attended practices, Baronial events, and Inter-Baronial events.

Other Activities

As a heathen of the Old Ways, Rhys would appreciate that any awards, ceremonies and accolades be done in the tradition of the Druids, Celts or other Pagan traditions (Norse Runes are fine). Symbology on scrolls etc. should be left free of any Christian symbols.

Rhys is a fledgling of Harpy Hall.

Rhys is also apprenticed to Magistra Sciath ingen Chaennaig since October 3rd, 2020, and a member of both House Herissony and The Goldfyne Busy Bees Companie.

Rhys is a companion in the Company of the Red Cloak.

On September 20th 2022, Rhys was invited to join House Malepardus. They became a formal protege to Maister Colyne Stewart in June of 2023.
