SCA History
Morag was introduced to the SCA in the Stronghold of Tor Brant while in college, but only joined after taking a job in Atlantia in 1998.
Morag left Atlantia and returned to Ealdormere in 2021, where she met her husband Lord Martin Brua. In 2006 the couple moved to the new canton of Harrowgate Heath where Morag served as group marshal for many years. In this time, Morag helped many new fighters build armour and ran many demos. When the canton was dissolved, Morag shifted her focus to the canton of Caldrithig.
While in Atlantia, Morag squired to Sir Gunther Addis. After many years as his squire, she eventually returned her belt amicably to focus her fighting in Ealdormere. In 2023, she took a new belt (and oar), this time from Sir Varakii Varenko Idanovich.
Affiliations
- Morag is a squire to Rytsar Varakii Varenko Idanovich. She squired in August AS 58 at Pennsic War. She is thus a crew member of the Bleek Paard, and part of House Maclachlan.
- Although no longer squired to him, Morag still considers Sir Gunther Addis as a close friend and mentor.
- Morag camps at Pennsic with Lions of the Cross, this friendship goes back decades.
- Morag views The Honourable Lord Augustyn von Brixen as a voice of reason in her woodworking journey.
