Part of the Royal Regalia, the Great Sword of State of Ealdormere is named Koningvald. Typically carried in Royal Court by the King's Champion, Koningvald is a 15th-century style greatsword with a brass hilt and pommel, the latter inscribed with a trillium.

Traditionally, Koningvald is carried sheathed during peaceful events such as tourneys and unsheathed while at war events.

The sword was presented to Ealdormere during the reign of Berus II and Marioun II by their predecessors Cennedi and Susanna.
