Pennsic War is a two week long camping event. Although there are multiple large wars held each year, Pennsic is the largest event held in the Knowne World, bringing in over 10,000 people each year.

The first Pennsic War was held in AS VII (1972). It is traditionally fought between the Middle Kingdom and the East Kingdom. However, at Pennsic XVI the Midrealm and the East joined sides, fighting against the Allies led by Æthelmearc and Atlantia.

Ealdormere spent many years fighting beside it's parent Kingdom, the Midrealm, but has also sided with the East at various wars.

Pennsic War has been held at Coopers Lake Campground, north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, since Pennsic VI.

Pennsic is held in late summer. As of late, Pennsic War has been at the end of July and early August.

Pennsic supports a wide range of activities. Martial activities include armoured combat, fencing, archery, thrown weapons, and youth combat. Pennsic University offers a wide range of Arts and Science classes throughout the war. Many groups put on performances in a wide array of arts including music, dance, and theater. Hundreds of vendors offer wares.
