The Honourable Noble Rhys of Anglesey (/riːs/Reece; They/Them) is an Iron Age Celt of the 1st Century and a Druid, one of the last, before the final invasion of Ynys Mon (Anglesey) by the Romans. 

===== Alternate Persona: Umesaya Soukurou =====
Umesaya means "teahouse of the plum", and they would be happy to discuss the origin of the name with you in person anytime!

Umesaya-rokui was born in the Muromachi period, the ninth male child of their family. At an early age, Umesaya was entrusted to a teahouse to learn the role of a kagema. Taken under the wing of a kindly patron, they flourished and thoroughly enjoy their role as, what the Western world would call, a courtesan (of sorts).

Umesaya/Rhys currently resides in the Barony of [[branches:barony:rising_Waters|Rising Waters]], more specifically in St Catharines, Ontario.

  * **Device**: Per pale raguly argent and vert, an oak tree eradicated and a satyr passant counterchanged.
  * **Badge**: (Fieldless) Three piles inverted couped conjoined in point sable within and conjoined to an annulet argent, the piles surmounted by a triskelion of spirals Or.

Note that "-rokui" cannot be used as a stand-alone term of address and that "Umesaya" should not be used without a suffix, without permission, nor should they ever be addressed simply by their first name "Soukurou". It is customary in Japanese to add an honourific to a person's last name (Umesaya) unless the individual is a very close friend/family member.

As a heathen of the Old Ways, Rhys would appreciate that any awards, ceremonies and accolades be done in the tradition of the Druids, Celts or other Pagan traditions (Norse Runes are fine). Symbology on scrolls, etc., should be left free of any Christian symbols.

Any recognitions done for Umesaya Soukurou may be done in an appropriate Japanese style.

They have been apprenticed to Magistra [[people:sciath_ingen_chaennaig|Sciath ingen Chaennaig]] since October 3rd, 2020, and are a member of both [[groups:households:house_herissony|House Herissony]] and [[groups:households:goldfyne_busy_bees_companie|The Goldfyne Busy Bees Companie]].

They are a companion in the [[groups:households:company_of_the_red_cloak|Company of the Red Cloak]].

On September 20th 2022, they were invited to join [[groups:households:house_malepardus|House Malepardus]]. They became a formal protege to Maister [[people:colyne_stewart|Colyne Stewart]] in June of 2023.
