====== Eoforwic ======

The **Canton of Eoforwic** (Downtown Toronto) is located in the Barony of [[branches:barony:septentria|Septentria]]. It is sometime referred to as the Royal Citie of Eoforwic.

In addition to the usual Canton officers, the Royal Citie has elections for a Lord or Lady Mayor, as well as a Sheriff. In a nod to the elections of the Lord Mayor of London, Ealdormerian [[groups:guilds_and_orders:|Guilds]] can vote in the election, though what precisely constitutes a Guild is a rather loose definition.

The current Lady Mayoress of the Royal Citie of Eoforwic is Baroness [[people:lucia_de_moranza|Lucia de Moranza]].

"Eoforwic" is the Old Norse name for York; York, of course, being the old name for the city of Toronto.
