A Student is a dependent in a formal relationship with a member of the Order of Defense. The terms of this relationship is entirely dependent on both the Master and the Student.

Unlike with other dependents, there is no society-wide accepted terminology for this relationship; some kingdoms call their Students “Provosts”.

This is not to be confused with those who are in informal teaching relationships with peers.

Students are marked by the wearing of a red collar.
