A Man-at-Arms is an armoured combatant normally in the employ of a Squire, who is in turn in the employ of a Knight.

There is a tradition with some Knights, who were never themselves taken as a Squire, to take Men-at-Arms instead. These Men-at-Arms are normally treated in the same manner as a Squire.

In Ealdormere, Men-at-Arms can be usually be identified by a blue belt.
