The Rules of the List are a document governing armoured combat activity within the SCA. These serve as the overall foundation of armoured combat across all Kingdoms; many Kingdoms publish supplemental combat rules which further amplify and define the rules.

The phrase “Rules of the List” is often used as a shorthand for the entire corpus of combat rules, including the Conventions of Combat, weapon- and armour standards; however each Kingdom's maintains their own Conventions of Combat and armour standards are technically separate documents from the Rules of the List.
