Jamie is the son of Viscount Mordain Blackcloak, KSCA, and Viscountess Ælflaeda FitzAlain,OP. As such, he was the first peer made in Ealdormere whose parents were also peers.

Before his elevation, Jamie was apprenticed to Mistress Rosina del Bosco Chiara.
