Persona

As a modern young man of the 790s, I lived near the monastery at Kells, inspired by the famous work within while furthering my knowledge as a simple student. I made a number of friends, with whom I embarked on a number of innocent adventures. Alas, it did not last. My studies finished, just in time for a series of Viking raids to scatter a number of us, including myself. There was a period of wandering, even bliss at times, as my children grew and learned what I could teach them. Yet I never forgot home, and yearned to return. And return I did. Not far along my journey back, I met Tamsin Kitto, who has since been my companion, partner, and lover. We have ever since kept the hearth warm, meeting old friends, making new friends, filling our household with many arts and sciences, surrounding our house with fresh gardens and trees, and offering support and service where we can.
