A Protege is a student in a formal relationship with a member of the Order of the Pelican. The terms of this relationship is entirely dependent on both the Pelican and the Protege.
Unlike squires and apprentices, Proteges' are entirely a Society invention.
Apprentices are marked by the wearing of a yellow belt.
