Orla O'shanahan
Persona
Kennari Órlaith inghean uí Sheanacháin (Anglicized/modernized as Orla O'shanahan), silfursmiðr is a Viking woman living in Ireland during the 10th century. Her skill and trade by day is in the crafting and shaping of fine metals and gems. Her coronets, brooches and ornaments are worn by some of Ealdormere's finest folk. When at camp and at war her voice can be heard round the fire, warmed by the joys of sharing cider and song. In recent times she or her husband, James Kidd, can often be found chasing or being harried by, their not so wee child, Iris.
Whereabouts
Orla resided for more than a dozen years in the sunny south of the Shire of Trinovantia Nova.
Her and her family moved to the East, in the Barony of Ruantallan in the winter of A.S. LVII (57)
Heraldry
- Device: Per bend sinister argent and azure,a fir tree eradicated between in bend a mullet of four points and a roundel counterchanged.

- Entered Pentathalon AS 47, to share the joy found in metalsmithing, enameling, dyeing, tent building and song.
- Became a member of the Royal Horticultural and Herbalism Guild of Ealdormere AS 47.
- Taught Enameling a Saxon Brooch at FOOL VI
- appenticed to Odette de Saint Remy FOOL VI
- Taught Enameling & Lost Wax Carving at Fool VII
- Challenged to the White Wolf Fian with the goal of casting in a period manner a pair of viking brooches starting from digging the clay out of the the ground and finishing them by the fall of AS 49.
- Accepted into the White Wolf Fian at a field court during War of the Trillium A.S. 49
- Taught Silk Painting in the shire Spring A.S 50
- Taught Lost Wax Casting and making wax copies at FOOL VIII
- Became a member of the Ealdormere Brewers Guild AS 50.
- Enameling, 2 Day,open studio at FOOL X
- White Wolf Fian rechallange, Minting medieval coins.
- Joined into the Moneiers Guild of Ealdormere and assisted in training more good gentles to the fun and noble trade of minting coins.
