Persona

Herr Matthäus Lindenhayn von Schaffhausen (he/him) is, at the present, more of generic SCA dude; however he is looking to develop a Landsknecht/Teislaufer persona, among others.

Whereabouts

Matthäus currently resides within the Canton of Bryniau Tywynnog, within the Barony of Ramshaven.

• Device: Per pale argent and azure, a pair of dragon-headed andirons conjoined counterchanged.
• Badge: (Fieldless) A dragon-headed andiron contourny azure.
• Badge: (Fieldless) In saltire a tent hook (zelthaken) azure and a tent hook (zelthaken) Or.

SCA History

Matthäus first ran into the SCA when his brother briefly joined back in the 80s, attending an event in London (possibly a tournament at the cathedral) where he won the 50/50 draw by buying the last ticket. It seemed cool - so he waited thirty-ish years and showed up at the local Bryniau Tywynnog practice for some fighting in late May 2018.

Matthäus' first “event” was Middle Ages on the Green, 2018, followed by the Coronation of Evander and Marioun. He has been continuing along ever since.
