====== Membership ======
**Membership** in the [[society for creative anachronism|SCA]] is offered by Corporate.

=====Benefits=====
Buying a membership supports the SCA as an organization.  It also:
  * Allows one to hold an [[activities:service:offices:start|officer]] position (even at the Canton level you need a membership). 
  * Gains a member discount to event site fees.
  * Allows one to fight in [[activities:events:Crown Tournament]]
  * Gives one access to various publications, including The Tidings, Tournaments Illuminated, the Compleat Anachronist, and the Board of Directors' Proceedings.

In Ealdormere, membership does not impact:
  * Participation in meetings or activities
  * The ability to attend events
  * Registering a name, arms, or badge
  * Reception of [[awards:start|awards]]

=====Types=====
Membership types
  * Associate (membership card only, no publications)
  * Sustaining (includes online kingdom newsletters)
  * International (includes online kingdom newsletters)
  * Family Member (family memberships may be purchased by Sustaining/International members, for one additional adult and any children 21 and under residing at their address)

Other publications can be subscribed to for an extra fee.
