====== Combat Archery ======
**Combat Archery** is a subset of of [[activities:martial:armoured_combat|Armoured Combat]] where the some of the combattants are using low-poundage bows and crossbows that fire padded arrows or bolts at other armoured combattants. Combat Archery  Siege Engines such as ballistae and scorpions are not combat archery, but under [[activities:martial:siege_combat|Siege Combat]].

Combat Archery is only done during [[activities:martial:melee_combat|melee combat]] situations; it is not used in [[activities:martial:tourney_combat|single combat]]. It is most commonly employed when Ealdormere goes to War at Pennsic, but some events do allow Combat Archery at home.

In Ealdormere, a fighter must have their primary authorization in One-handed weapon and shield before they can get a Combat Archery authorization.
