Only his identical twin brother brother AEthelstan returned. AEthelstan hung around Eoforwic for a few years but after that was seldom seen. In his absence, the merchant Thomas appeared and the less reputable Thomas the Pardoner soon afterwards. He swore personal fealty to Aedan O Kincorra and Caffa Muirath as individuals, rather than as Baron and Baroness.
