During the negotiations for her apprenticeship, a generous donation of pearls was provided to Kaisa's Mistresses by Lord Raffaello, as payment for taking on Kaisa and teaching her. The Mistress in question, however, may have underestimated how many jars of pickles Kaisa can eat, and most likely should have asked for more in the way of compensation. The family that Lord Raffaello has found in his travels are kept near to Kaisa's heart, and when she hears of a need they have, she endevours to help. This goes along with the Helium Hand accusation, as on more than one occasion she has found herself making, or offering to make, garments for Avacalians, or finding housing and food when members of her extended family has made the long trek to Ealdormere.
