Her ancestors include the Dukes of Norfolk, who own land been South Creake and Walsingham, including two churches and a mill. During her youth, she was schooled by the nuns at Walsingham Abbey. After being offered marriage from the Lord Mayor of Norwich, she moved to his estate.
